The United States began accepting DV-2025 applicants.


The US State Department today opened its annual Diversity Visa (DV) / "Green Card Lottery" program for applicants seeking to live and work in the United States.


According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the program will start on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 and end on Tuesday, November 7,


Under the current program, the United States issues green cards to approximately 55,000 foreign nationals.


There is no fee to register/apply for the DV program.


However, candidates scheduled for an interview in the future will be required to pay the visa application fee before submitting a formal visa application.


The eligibility of these candidates for Visa will be determined by the Councilors Officer.


A total of 55,000 eligible DV applicants from many countries, including Ethiopia, will be randomly selected by the internal system.
